Who Killed Sports in Ebonyi State?

It amaze me when people say and I quote " that it is a shame that Ebonyi State under Governor Umahi have no Football Club", hmmmm

And I ask them, Where were these people when His Excellency the immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Martin Nwanchor Elechi disengaged,dislodged and abolished Ebonyi Angels Football Club and Ebonyi Queens Football Club and demanded that our youths look elsewhere that there is no hope in Sports?

Secondly, it gladdens my heart that the present Administration of Ebonyi State led by His Excellency Engr Chief Dave Nweze Umahi is a Sports loving Governor, we can remember that His Excellency the Governor upon assumption gave a matching order that our old Stadium should be converted to a Modern Stadium (Work Ongoing) and I have no doubt that once the Stadium is through, with the help of Ebonyi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon Charlse Akpuenika, Ebonyi Angels Football Club and Ebonyi Queens Football Club will be called back.

Breaking ->>>6000 APC, APGA Decamp to PDP in Ebonyi State. 

Over 6,000 men,women and youths has decamped to the the People's Democratic Party in Ohakwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State yesterday during the flag off of the People's Democratic Party in preparation for the forthcoming LGA election in the State , the decampees who came from All Progressive Congress APC and All People's Grand Alliance APGA were led officially by the Former Commissioner for lands and Survey in Ebonyi State Hon Ambrose Okoro, Ambrose who decamped with over 6,000 people stated that their is no place like home and noted that their home is PDP. 

Speaking further on behalf of his fellow decampees ,he said and I quote, "PDP is the only political party in Nigeria and Ebonyi State with the interest of everybody at heart so we have decided to come home because no place like home and belong to where our people belong, under PDP I served as Commissioner in Ebonyi State, in that note I Hon Ambrose Okoro on behalf of these men and women that I speak on their behalf after seeing the huge landmark achievements of His Excellency Engr Chief Dave Nweze Umahi in infrastructure and human empowerment which he even carries to the door steps of his oppositions hereby declare that we are fully back to PDP as Born Again PDP members praying that we're accepted and we promise never to sin again. 

Welcoming them back to the Party, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency Engr Chief Dave Nweze Umahi ably represented by the Rt Hon Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Hon Chief Ogbonna Francis Nwaifuru thanked them for the courage,spirit of appreciation and promised them that henceforth they are part and parcel of the big happy family PDP and used the opportunity to reemphasize that the doors of People's Democratic Party is always open to receive our brothers and sisters that went astray in the past. 

Among other dignitaries that received them include the National Vice Chairman of the People's Democratic Party South East Chief Deacon Austin Umahi, the State Chairman of People's Democratic Party Ebonyi State Hon Barr Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, the Senator Representing Ebonyi North Senatorial zone and the first Executive Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency Dr Sam Ominyi Egwu, the Principal Secretary to the Governor Hon Chief Clement Nweke, the present Commissioner for lands and Survey Hon Chief Sunday Inyima, and many other great men and women of Ebonyi and Ohakwu.
